I think it's even simpler than that, for teams on the rise, they must defeat teams on the decline, and the New England Patriots are clearly a team on the decline.

I must admit that fantasies like The Golden Compass are right up my alley. I've never been one for tales of knights and dragons, but give me a good magical fantasy, especially British based, and you have me. There's something about hidden worlds of magic that just get me. I loved both Harry Potter and The Chronicles of Narnia. However, unlike those two stories, I did not read the source material to The Golden Compass before watching the movie, and thus my mind was a blank slate, freed of expectations.

An idea for an article had formulated in my mind a few weeks ago as I was rereading the Harry Potter series in preparation for both the new movie and the final book. The idea was to play off Harry Potter as the future sequel to Star Wars. There were so many similarities that I thought the connection was strong enough for one simple article. After finishing the last book, I have come to another much more certain conclusion, Harry Potter and Star Wars share such a strong link because J.K. Rowling and George Lucas share the same strengths and weaknesses as storytellers.

On Tuesday, September 2nd, Ron Paul and his Campaign for Liberty hosted the Rally for the Republic, an alternative convention to the RNC, celebrating freedom and liberty. A major theme of the night, printed on the front of the programs was Calling the GOP Back to its Roots. While Ron Paul has worked within the Republican Party to spark his Revolution, the feelings from the rest of the Rally were more mixed on that possibility.

On Tuesday, Ron Paul and his Campaign for Liberty held the Rally for the Republic at the Target Center in Minneapolis. They might as well have called this a Protest Rally against the RNC , as the message for most of the night was extremely critical of the Republican Party. This isn't to say that a single kind word was directed at the Democratic Party either. The Rally was filled with people who were tired of the same old politics and government intrusions and who were seeking freedom, liberty and to just be left alone.

If you were watching the RNC on television like millions of other Americans you probably noticed the crowd break out into a "drill baby, drill" chant during speeches by both Rudy Giuliani and Sarah Palin. What you didn't see is the origination of this chant during a speech earlier that night by Michael Steele, a speech that was not televised on network television, and a speech that was probably the single best of the night.
