If Miguel Tejada had been this happy prior to the season then perhaps he needn't have been so nervous when he arrived at Oriole Park at Camden Yards just before baseball's trade deadline at 4 p.m. on Monday. If in the offseason he had not uttered one word of discontent, one word of frustration, then maybe Tejada would not have been in danger of being traded. But there he was with butterflies in his stomach walking into the stadium, then strolling through the corridors until he finally reached the clubhouse door. When he opened it he saw his locker was still full of Orioles clothing, and his teammates cheered. Tejada had not been traded.
