The Eagles are back to being the class of the NFC. When McNabb is healthy he is one of the best in the game. When he is not healthy, the Eagles have shown that they can still win. Expect to continue to see a more balanced offense by the Eagles now that Brian Westbrook has shown that he can be a true feature back as well as a play-maker. The Eagles may have lost Donte Stallworth in the offseason, but Kevin Curtis will be a far better fit for this offense.
The Eagles have a key group of stars on defense surrounded by a nice collection of role players. It just needs to show that it can stop the run. A completely revamped linebacker corp is up to the challenge if not yet tested.

I'm not comfortable with this team at all. In his day Wade Phillips was a pretty bad head coach. Tony Romo has yet to prove himself for more than a few games. They keep starting Julius Jones over Marion Barber III. They think Leonard Davis is an upgrade on the offensive line. But in the end I have no faith in any of the bottom three teams in the NFC East, but this is the NFC and I know one of them will win more games than they should, earning a wild card spot and that has as good of chance as any to be the Cowboys.

This is a playoff team with two major problems, their coach is Tom Coughlin and they don't have a left tackle. David Deihl may have turned out to be a pretty solid offensive lineman if the Giants had ever just let him develop at one position. Instead they've moved him around every position short of center. He'll be the reason for at least a couple sacks, a couple interceptions and Eli never having a chance to develop a rhythm.
Tom Coughlin is a whole other story. His no-nonsense drill sergeant style stops being welcome when the winning stops, and the Giants haven't been winning consistently for some time. The big story from about week 8 and on will be if the Giants are able to get Charlie Weiss to jump ship from ND to his dream job in the NFL.

I think we are starting to learn the lesson that legendary coaches from the pre-salary cap days just won't cut it in the modern game. Not to say they are bad coaches, they know game management, player motivation, proper strategy, they just aren't legendary anymore.
Jason Campbell is starting to grow on me. As a late first round quarterback, I initially figured he'd pull a Patrick Ramsey. Start a bit, never really impress, since there wasn't tens of millions rapped up in his signing bonus the team would have a quick hook and never let him develop. But it seems that Joe Gibbs is smart enough to live through the growing pains. Though this season will be his real test. If he is inconsistent and the team isn't winning, will Gibbs stick with him if his job is on the line?
